Michele Scherch is the assistant director of communications and events at the Fels Institute of Government, bringing experience in diverse facets across nonprofit and academic institutions. Before Fels, she served as the associate director for strategic advancement communications at the Rutgers University Foundation and in multiple positions at the Johns Hopkins University, including communications specialist for the Peabody Institute and administrative coordinator for the Johns Hopkins Institute for Education Policy. With a passion for the arts and culture sector, she is also the managing director for the Black Pearl Chamber Orchestra, a Temple University community choir member, and a recent board member of the music organization Mind on Fire. Michele holds a Bachelor of Arts in communication from the University of Pittsburgh and a Management Development Certificate from the Johns Hopkins Carey School of Business Executive Education program.
