Dylan has dedicated his career to public service, leading high-impact initiatives to strengthen communities across the country. He began serving his country in the US Navy, where he worked for six years as a cryptologist and intelligence analyst. After his naval service, Dylan earned a Master of Public Administration from the University of Pennsylvania's Fels Institute of Government, cementing his commitment to driving systemic change in the public sector.
As part of the inaugural class of New York's Empire State Fellows program, Dylan spearheaded disaster recovery efforts after Hurricane Sandy and designed workforce development programs to expand economic opportunity. He then brought his leadership to the US Department of Veterans Affairs, serving as administrative officer and overseeing improvements to prosthetics services.
In various roles at the Department of Housing and Urban Development since 2015, Dylan has focused his efforts on cultivating data-driven policy, strengthening public housing authorities, and advancing fair housing initiatives to build more equitable communities. He currently serves on the White House’s Subcommittee on Equitable Data and several interagency working groups. Most recently, he earned his Doctor of Public Administration from the University of Baltimore, deepening his expertise in community development, stakeholder engagement, and performance management.
Outside of his public service career, Dylan has been an active leader in several nonprofit and professional boards and commissions. He lives in Maryland with his wife and daughters.
