About Mitch Vidovich
Mitch Vidovich is the director of government affairs for Independence Blue Cross, a national health plan headquartered in Philadelphia, PA. In this role, he communicates the company’s public policy positions to elected officials at the federal, state, and local levels. This includes topics like the Affordable Care Act, prescription drug pricing, as well as public health concerns such as the opioid epidemic. Prior to his work at Independence, he served for five years as a senior staff member to US Senator Pat Toomey, both on Capitol Hill and in Pennsylvania. During his tenure, he worked on issues before the Senate Finance Committee and the Joint Select Committee on Deficit Reduction.
Mr. Vidovich serves as the vice-chair of the board of trustees for the Delaware County Child Advocacy Center and is a member of the regional Narcotics Overdose Prevention & Education Task Force. He is a graduate of Susquehanna University and is completing his master’s in business administration at Villanova University.
