The Fels Institute of Government is pleased to announce that US Senator Andy Kim will deliver the keynote address for our Class of 2025 graduation ceremony on Sunday, May 18, at the National Constitution Center.

Senator Kim has dedicated his life to public service and represents New Jersey in the US Senate. He was elected to the Senate in 2024 after serving three terms in the US House of Representatives, where he represented parts of Burlington, Ocean, Mercer, and Monmouth Counties. During his time in the House, Senator Kim focused on strengthening national security and advocating for servicemembers, veterans, and their families as a member of the House Armed Services and House Foreign Affairs Committees. He also served on the House Small Business Committee, supporting entrepreneurs in New Jersey. Furthermore, he contributed to congressional efforts as part of the Select Committee on the Coronavirus Crisis and the Select Committee on Strategic Competition between the United States and the Chinese Communist Party.

Before entering elected office, Senator Kim worked under both Democratic and Republican administrations. His experience includes roles at USAID, the Pentagon, the State Department, and the White House National Security Council, as well as serving as an advisor in Afghanistan to Generals Petraeus and Allen. He is dedicated to building a democracy that reflects all American voices, fostering a stronger economy, and creating a better future for the next generation. Senator Kim is proud to be the first Korean American elected to the US Senate and New Jersey's first Asian American senator.
